FRMS Chess Team

General Information

Who:  Everyone is welcome - whether you have played for years or are simply interested in learning how to play.  The Chess team is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in playing chess.  

What:  Chess Team players play chess!  Players should be ready and willing to accept a challenge from any player.  Players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and a willingness to help others become better players.  Unless other arrangements are made with the chess team coach, players should stay for the entire practice.

When:  Sign up through EduTrak during December and January.  FRMS Chess Team starts up Tuesday, January 6th and the team meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school until around March 19th.    We will meet at 3:15 in room 233. Our end time is 4:50.  Students can either get picked up by a parent after practice at 4:50 or take the activity bus home.

February 24th - FRMS @BHMS
March 3rd -F RMS @SHMS
March 10th - VMS @FRMS

*Matches run from 3:35 to 4:40
