INFORMATION ABOUT SPORTS AT FRMS
Swimming & Diving: Underway now. Season ends April 30.
With the return to in-person learning four days a week, students may attend athletic practices on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays beginning Tuesday, April 20, 2021. No sessions will be held on Wednesdays.
Boys Tennis: 7th & 8th graders is scheduled to begin May 3/4.
Students need to attend one of the two informational meetings and informal practices on Monday/Tuesday, May 3rd (Cohort A) or May 4th (Cohort B) after school in the cafeteria. After the meeting, there will be an informal practice at the tennis courts.
Track and Field: 6th, 7th & 8th graders (Boys & Girls) is scheduled to begin May 3/4.
Students need to attend one of the two informational meetings and informal practices on Monday/Tuesday, May 3rd (Cohort A) or May 4th (Cohort B) after school in the gymnasium. After the meeting, there will be an informal practice outdoors at the FRMS track.
Spring Sports at FRMS:
General Practice Time and Schedule
3:35 - 4:45: Cohort A students and ISD 196 Digital Academy students with last names starting with A-K will participate on Mondays and Thursdays; Cohort B students and ISD 196 Digital Academy students with last names starting with L-Z will participate on Tuesdays and Fridays. No sessions will be held on Wednesdays.
Please note: Students on site will have the option to go home at 2:25pm and then return for practice (if they have their own transportation to return to school) or Cohort A and B students will be in a supervised study hall until practice time.
Format will be “In-House” which will include skills development and intrasquad scrimmaging; traveling to other schools in or out of District 196 for competitions will not occur this season.
Activity buses will depart from FRMS Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday boarding at 4:45p.m.
Students who are involved in a supervised activity such as sports or homework help and live in the Falcon Ridge attendance area can ride the activity bus home on their cohort days. This includes digital academy students.
Students board buses at 4:45 p.m.

Parents must pick up students who are not riding the activity buses by 4:45pm, no exceptions.
Registration, Fee and Physical
- Participation fee is $50;
- Current physical must be on file with the school nurse.
- Registration on MyPayment Plus (formerly FeePay) begins in November.
PLEASE NOTE: To provide a safe environment for students, staff, and coaches participants will be expected to follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols including but not limited to:
Maintaining social distancing of minimum of 6ft (and no more than 15 minutes of contact when distance is less than 6 ft)
Must use and handle own water bottle
Playing/practicing in pods of 25 or less (including the coach)
No congregating (i.e. team cheers, team huddles, “high-fives,” etc.)
Equipment (i.e. basketballs, etc) cleaning protocol will occur.
More details and information regarding health and safety protocols will be provided during registration and to the participants during the first days of the season.
