Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are very excited to work with your student for the 2024-25 Soccer season! Below is information to get us off to a great start this soccer season.
Players must first have a completed sports physical on file with the school nurse and then will be cleared to register through EduTrak online on the FRMS website athletics page.
We practice every day from 3:20 until 4:50. Activity busses are available, students will load activity busses at 5:00. A bus pass is required for admission onto the activity bus and will be provided on the first day of practice to students who live within the Falcon Ridge attendance area. On game days, plan on giving your player a ride home from FRMS, as matches, more often than not, are not over before the activity buses leave at 5mPM.
On practice days, parents/guardians must pick up their players no later than 5pm. Pickup is at the back parking lot, on the lower level, by Door 7.
Each team member is required to be at practice every day. If your student need to miss a practice, please email me or send a note explaining the reason for the absence. In order for the team and each player to be the very best they can, maximum participation is needed. It is important that every player be to every practice and game!
Each team member will be issued a jersey for the soccer season. It will be the soccer players responsibility to keep their jersey clean and return it at the end of the season. There is a $40.00 charge for any jersey not returned.
Your student will need to come prepared to every practice with the appropriate practice clothes, cleats/tennis shoes, shin guards, and a water bottle.
The goals for the season will be as follows:
1. To learn the fundamental skills of soccer
2. To improve daily in practice
3. To develop a high level of self-discipline
4. To be a good citizen, good role-model and good sport
5. To have fun while learning and improving in soccer
Our philosophy at Falcon Ridge Middle School is that schoolwork is the first priority for our student athletes. Please encourage your student to budget their time so that their school work does not suffer during the season.
We are so glad to have the opportunity to work with your student this fall. We invite you to attend as many games as you can, your support and encouragement is so important.
Go Falcons!
