STUDENT-PARENT-TEACHER PROGRESS CONFERENCES
Teachers may contact parents throughout the school year to discuss student progress in any class. The most effective way for discussing student progress is through the establishment of good communication between parents and teachers. Scheduled conferences are held during 1st and 2nd trimesters. Dates are noted on the calendar.
Keep in mind, that conferences are designed for BOTH students and parents to attend, as students will be presenting their end-of-trimester e-portfolios. Therefore, students should be coming with parents to conferences.
Special concerns may be addressed and a private appointment may be scheduled. Register for conferences through our conference sign-up system: PTCFast.com during the designated conference time frame.
Winter 2020 Conference Details
Winter 2020 Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 13th from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
You may choose to schedule a 10 minute conference with your child’s homeroom teacher (EL teacher, or special education case manager). Scheduled conferences with homeroom teachers are 10 minutes long and scheduled during the first 20 minutes of each hour. This is followed by a 40 minute arena style conference period during which time teachers will be available for drop-in 3-5 minute conferences (first come first serve).
Note: Scheduled appointments are for HOMEROOM students only in order to ensure that HOMEROOM teachers have enough time slots to meet with all of their HOMEROOM students. Please do NOT schedule appointments with NON-HOMEROOM teachers. You may visit your student's other teachers on a drop-in basis during the 40 minute open period between scheduled appointment times.
