STUDENT-PARENT-TEACHER PROGRESS CONFERENCES
Teachers may contact parents throughout the school year to discuss student progress in any class. The most effective way for discussing student progress is through the establishment of good communication between parents and teachers. Scheduled conferences are held during 1st and 2nd trimesters. This fall conferences will be held from October 26 to November 6, 2020.
Conferences will take place virtually. We have a long tradition of students being involved and leading conversations with their families and their advisory teacher - we will continue this practice this year as well. Students will prepare their learning logs during the week of October 19. Twenty minute conferences via Zoom or phone calls will be scheduled with advisory teachers from October 26 to November 6. There will also be time set aside to drop in with content area teachers as well.
In addition to the 20 minutes Zoom advisory conference, teachers have designated a 2 hour time slot for families of students in their content classes to drop in for a 3-5 minute check in. Please sign up through the PTCFAST link below for one 20-minute time slot to talk with your child's advisory teacher via Zoom or by phone. During this 20-minute conference your student will reflect on their first six weeks of school, talk about their progress, and share their learning log that they completed in their advisory time during the week of October 19th.
Teacher's will have drop in times for parents to enter a Zoom session for a quick five-minute check in with students in their content area classes. A schedule with links to these Zoom sessions will be shared through our school messenger system and our website.

We'd like to provide a Staff Appreciation morning with food and beverages during the second week of conferences. Due to Covid and limited access to the building, we are unable to accept food and supply donations. Please consider a monetary donation. Your student can bring in a check to their Advisor or the Main Office at FRMS.
